I am Braving the Shave on behalf of 6 year old Cooper Peterson, who has Worl NF (Neurofibromatosis). Cooper and the Peterson family live with NF daily. NF does not define Coop, but it affects every part of his life and his families. Cooper due to his tumors is blind and has numerous medical conditions such as seizures and sensory issues. He uses his white cane to walk but tires with any distance but he loves going to school and church. Cooper has a faith we should all strive to have, God is a part of his everyday life.
The Brave the shave is an important resource that helps off set the cost of meals and hotels when out of town for medical appointments, treatments, and emergencies. I have seen numerous pictures of Cooper but this one made me cry as I love to swing and he did not have an interest in swinging until this one day. I did not choose pictures of Cooper in hospital or ill as I like to focus on the positives in life. Thanks for donating any small amount goes a long ways. If you have further questions please contact me.
For every one hundred dollars that I raise one inch of hair will be cut off. If I reach one thousand I go bald. I have had anxiety about how long my hair is and anxiety of shaving it then I think of all Cooper goes through daily and his faith and know I too have this. Utsi.
