This my 6th year shaving for “Brave the Shave”. My first five years I was honoring my granddaughter Aeryn DeKrey in her fight against Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). This year I will be shaving in Honor of Kynlee Pengilly. She is a 7-year-old, 2nd Grader at Langdon Area Elementary school. Kynlee is a sweet and bubbly girl. Her favorite colors are pink and purple. She enjoys attending dance, skating and volleyball games! Kynlee also likes unicorns and anything artsy. Kynlee was seen by her doctor for a bump on her head, which turned into something unexpected. On October 3rd, 2019 she was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma. This type of cancer is aggressive but curable. Over the next year Kynlee will be following up with her doctors at the Roger Maris Cancer Center in Fargo. She will continue to have chemotherapy, further removal of the bump with possible radiation and then more chemo. She has already been a brave girl going through an MRI and a surgery. Ewing Sarcoma is a cancerous tumor that grows in the bones or in the tissue around and is not inherited. Please donate to this worthy cause of helping families during difficult times in battling children’s cancer “Brave the Shave”. Thanks,
