This is my fifth year of participating in Brave the Shave. It has become a time of celebration for our family to mark another year of my granddaughter beating her bout with leukemia. Brave the Shave has been a great fund raiser organization helping in cancer research and providing families with some much needed monetary support to cover miscellaneous expenses that occur while traveling to treatments. The generosity and donations provided Steve, Emile and Aeryn with some much needed resources during difficult times while Aeryn went through chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. That's why this event became so important to our family because it's a way to give back and say thanks for the kindness shown towards our family and celebrate Areyn's fourth year of beating cancer.
