Ashton Graf was diagnosed in February of 2020 with Stage 4 High Risk Amplified Neuroblastoma. He was mercy flown to Mayo in Rochester where he and his mother spent 9 months straight undergoing treatments while being displaced from family due to covid restrictions. He underwent 6 rounds of high dose chemo, tumor resection surgery, numerous blood and platelet transfusions, needle pokes, stem cell transplant, 12 rounds of proton radiation, 6 months of immunotherapy and so much more. He was in the hospital over 267 days between February 2020-February 2021. Ashton lost the ability to walk as the tumor had metastasized to his femur. The Dr's insisted he be off of his legs until treatment finished which was 14 long months. Ashton had to relearn to walk and has been undergoing countless hours of Physical and Occupational Therapy to get him back on his feet and overcome the emotional effect of PTSD from meeting new people being worried they were going to hurt him (needle pokes and more). Ashton is thriving now at the age of 5. He has his crew.... his army of friends, family, dinosaurs, little toy army guys (that hurt when stepped on) and so many others. He continues to go in every 3 months for cancer scans and at this date in time he has no presence of the disease. We are incredibly grateful for his all of the support that he has had as without it, he would not be here. His family would not have had the ability to be by his side to keep him strong. There are children in our state that are constantly being diagnosed with cancer and the struggle for families remain and that is why we are wanting to help. We want to show the generosity that others showed us. If you are able to donate, that would be absolutely incredible. If you are not able to donate, a simple share of this link or page would be amazing. Thank you for considering and we hope to see you at the main event in Bismarck!

Ashton mustered his army men to slay the legions of dinosaurs while battling for his life. The treatments he underwent furthered the Dr.s knowledge of how to fight this horrible disease so hopefully other children will not have to undergo all the procedures he had to endure. We are grateful for the encouragement and support that the Brave the Shave organization provided for Ashton and his family. This is an opportunity to pay it forward for families whose lives change from one word, cancer.
