Once again, Cooper's Crew is raising funds for Brave the Shave. This past year has been hard on all charities, including Brave the Shave and the Andrew B McDonough B+ Foundation, our research arm in our fight against pediatric cancer. Please consider supporting our team so we can continue to provide help to families in the Bismarck and surrounding areas.
Cooper Peterson was diagnosed with NF1 February 26th, 2015, just a couple days shy of 11 months old. Neurofibromatosis type 1 is a condition characterized by changes in skin coloring (pigmentation) and the growth of tumors along nerves in the skin, brain, and other parts of the body. Cooper was diagnosed with a Diffuse Fibrillary Astrocytoma brain tumor and bilateral Optic Glioma – tumors that grows on the optic nerves. As a result, Cooper lost his vision to the tumor and is blind. But Cooper doesn't let cancer or blindness stand in his way. He turned seven this spring and heading into first grade.
